Don Lorino model guide

Click or Petit?

Two collections with the same approach to colour and matching, but different proportions. Compare the models, sizes and suitable combinations to find the right equipment for your dog.

The short answer

Choose by measurements, as well as breed

Choose Petit if your dog needs narrower straps, lighter weight and smaller fittings. Choose Click if your dog's measurements exceed the Petit range or you want a wider, more substantial product.

Breed and weight can provide a starting point, but neck and chest measurements determine which size actually fits. A small, stocky dog may need Click, while a slender adult dog may continue to use Petit.

Always measure your dog and compare the result with the measurements for the product you want to buy.

Which model suits your dog?

Two distinct collections

The main differences are size, width and weight. Both collections include matching collars, harnesses, leads and accessories.

  • Fits neck circumferences from 18 to 30 cm.
  • The collar is 1.2 cm wide and weighs approximately 17 grams.
  • The harness fits chest circumferences from 24 to 40 cm.

Collars, harnesses and leads

Compare each part of the set

Your dog's collar size does not automatically determine which harness or lead they need. Compare the measurements and weight for each product category.

Can you combine the collections?

Yes, with your dog's size in mind

The simplest choice is a collar or harness and lead from the same collection. Their width, weight and hardware have similar proportions.

01

Petit with Petit

The natural choice for puppies and small dogs. The collar, harness and lead have small proportions and low weight.

02

Click with Click

A balanced set for dogs that need the Click collection's wider collars, larger harnesses or sturdier leads.

03

Click collar or harness with a Petit lead

May suit a small, calm dog up to approximately 10 kg that does not pull strongly. The Petit lead's lower weight can feel more manageable for a smaller dog.

04

Petit collar or harness with a Click lead

Not recommended. The Click lead and its clip are considerably heavier and larger than the Petit collection's small fittings.

Always assess the whole combination. Weight is only one consideration: how strongly your dog pulls, the weight of the hardware and the fit also matter.

Measure before choosing

Find the right collection and size

Use current body measurements as well as breed, age and approximate weight to make your choice.

Check neck and chest measurements →

The size selector compares your dog's measurements with Petit and Click. Then check the measurements on your chosen product page.

01

Measure your dog's neck

Measure where the collar will sit and compare the result with the Petit and Click size ranges.

02

Measure the chest for a harness

Measure around the widest part of the chest, usually just behind the front legs.

03

Consider width and weight

Two collars may fit the same neck measurement but feel very different because of their strap width, buckle and total weight.

04

Choose a light, suitable combination

The equipment should be sturdy enough for your dog without becoming unnecessarily heavy or bulky.

05

Check the fit at home

Check that your dog can move naturally and cannot back out of the harness or slip the collar over their head.

Frequently asked questions

About Click and Petit

Quick answers about sizes, puppies and combining the two collections.

What is the difference between Click and Petit?

Petit has narrower straps, lighter weight and smaller measurements for puppies and small dogs. Click has wider dimensions and more sizes for dogs that need larger or sturdier equipment.

Which dogs can use Petit?

Petit mainly suits puppies and small dogs. The Petit collar fits necks from 18 to 30 cm, and the Petit harness fits chests from 24 to 40 cm.

Is Click only for large dogs?

No. Click collars start at XS, which fits necks from 21 to 31 cm. The collection can also suit smaller dogs that need a wider collar or sturdier proportions than Petit.

Can a puppy use Click?

Yes, if the puppy's current measurements fit and the equipment is proportionate. Petit is usually the smaller, lighter choice for a small puppy.

Can I use a Petit lead with a Click collar?

It may suit a small, calm dog up to approximately 10 kg that does not pull strongly. Check that the lead and clip are sturdy enough for your individual dog.

Can I use a Click lead with a Petit harness?

This is not recommended. The Click lead is wider and approximately three times as heavy as the Petit lead, which can feel unnecessarily bulky with a Petit harness or collar.

Which lead is lighter?

The Petit lead is the lighter option. It is 1.2 cm wide and weighs approximately 30 grams. The Click lead is 2 cm wide and weighs approximately 93 grams.

How do I know which size my dog needs?

Measure your dog's neck and, for a harness, the widest part of the chest. Compare the measurements with the size chart on the relevant product page.
