Harnesses for Pomeranians
Pomeranians can be slender, stocky or somewhere in between. Start with neck and chest measurements, compare Petit and Click, and try the harness on to check that it stays securely in place during walks.

The short answer
Which harness suits a Pomeranian?
No single harness size fits every Pomeranian. Don Lorino Petit is a lightweight option when your dog's measurements fall within its range. Compare Click XS–S if your dog needs larger measurements or wider straps.
Always measure both the neck and chest. If they point to different sizes, check the product chart and fit rather than choosing by breed.
Petit or Click
Compare the models with your dog's measurements
| Harness | Neck circumference | Chest circumference | Strap width |
|---|---|---|---|
| Petit | approximately 18–33 cm* | 24–40 cm | 1.2 cm |
| Click XS–S | 28–43 cm | 35–51 cm | 2 cm |
*The minimum neck measurement can vary between Petit models. These measurements are a guide. Always check the size chart for the product you plan to buy.
Smaller proportions suit your dog
Both of your dog's measurements fit Petit and you want narrower straps and lightweight hardware. The range comes in several colours, including Soft Black and Pop Mocha.
Your dog needs more room
Your dog's measurements or preferred strap width point towards XS–S. Petit and Click overlap in some measurements, so focus on movement and stability when trying them on.
Avoid guessing the size
If the neck fits but the chest does not, or vice versa, the choice is not straightforward. Contact us with both measurements and a link to the model.

How to check the fit
Let the coat sit naturally when measuring and putting the harness on. Check that the straps sit against the body without pulling on the coat or rubbing under the front legs. Watch your dog stand, walk and turn while wearing it.
The harness should stay securely in place without twisting or allowing your dog to back out. If a strap presses or your dog changes how they move, adjust it or try another size or model. Measure a growing dog again when the fit changes.
Before the first walk
- Both body measurements match the product chart.
- The buckles close easily without trapping the coat.
- The straps lie flat and clear of the armpits.
- The harness stays in place as your dog walks.

Frequently asked questions
Choosing a harness for a Pomeranian
Is Petit always right for a Pomeranian?
No. Petit may suit a Pomeranian whose measurements fit within the range, but dogs of the same breed can have different proportions. Compare both neck and chest measurements with the product chart.
What if my dog fits both Petit and Click XS–S?
Compare strap width, hardware and fit on your dog. Both collections may fit the same measurements where their ranges overlap. Choose the model that stays securely and comfortably in place.
Do I need to measure if my dog already has a collar?
Yes. A collar measurement does not tell you the chest circumference and may have been taken at a different part of the neck. Measure again for the harness you choose.
